4 ways to help protect your back when it is sore

Back pain is very common and most people will experience it at some stage in their life. When your back is sore, it can make normal daily activities difficult and painful. In this post I will show you how to get our bed, how to get up off of the toilet, how to put on shoes and how to get up off of the ground when you have a sore back. Each of these 4 activities are relatively easy when you are feeling good, but if you are sore, they can be quite painful. Hopefully these simple tips will be useful and give you some relief if you are currently struggling with back pain.

How to get out of bed with a sore back
​​If you have a sore back, it is often worse in the morning. This can make getting out of bed quite painful.  In this short video I show you a simple, yet effective way of getting out of bed whilst trying to minimize aggravation of the back.
How to out of a chair or off of the toilet with a sore back
​
​Even a simple task, like getting off of the toilet or up out of a chair can be difficult if you are sore. Here is a simple way of protecting the back when getting out of a chair.
How to put on shoes and socks with a sore back
​​​Bending over to put on shoes can be hard if you are stiff or sore. In this short video I show a simple way of putting on your socks and shoes whilst trying to protect your back.
How to get up off the ground with a sore back
​​​If you have a sore back hopefully you will be doing some stretches and appropriate exercise to help with the healing process. Some of these stretches and exercises require you to get down on the ground. Getting down on the ground can be easy, but getting up again can be a different story.  In this video I show you a simple way to stand up from the ground if you have a sore back.
