What I like about this video
This video gives a great analogy of the traditional health care system. Is all of the problems our society suffers from due to a problem with the car or the driver? Are the problems we face due to problems with our bodies design or do they stem from the way we use and abuse it?
I am pretty sure it is the later. If we looked after ourselves better I am certain the amount of illness and number of deaths from heart disease, cancer etc would be less. We all know that if we look after a car well, it will last a lot longer and perform better. Our bodies are the same, look after it and it will look after you.
Here are some simple things to try and do:
- Have a regular service. A regular check up from a GP or chiropractor or other health professional will help keep you running well.
- Keep moving. Our bodies, like cars, are designed to move. Keep active to keep it working well. If you do not move well, you are likely to seize up.
- Use good fuel. Our bodies need good quality fuel, just like cars. Eat a healthy balance diet and drink lots of water.
- Take it for a good run. Cars often don't do too well with lots of small trips. They are much more efficient on a big trip. Our bodies also feel better after exercise.
If you can learn to "drive your car better" I am pretty sure you will get better use out of it. The moral of this story is simple, look after your body and it will thank you for it.
